If you always watch IZ*ONE’s group fancams, you could find Chaeyeon flipping her hair at almost every move, possessing a rhythmic life of its own. With a great background in dancing, Chaeyeon procures a strong presence as she is very excellent when it comes to dancing. In the eyes of her teammate Choi Yena, her presence is a quality that cannot be transcended, and it’s not something you can learn as you wish: “I think she’s born with it. But generally speaking, even if one is already good at dancing and doesn’t practice much, they’ll end up like this one day anyway. But, the best part about Chaeyeon is that she does her best in practicing too. Which is why I think she has this unsurpassed temperament.”

WAVES: Known for your sharp knife-like dance moves ever since debut, how long do you practice every day now?
Chaeyeon: I/We always practice when I have no schedules.

WAVES: What was the happiest thing that has happen to you since your debut?
Chaeyeon: I was really happy the moment we debuted, and also when we won our first rookie of the year award after our debut.

WAVES: If you could form a unit, which member(s) would to want to be with? And the reason?
Chaeyeon: I had a performance with Yena and Yujin before, I want to be with Sakura and Chaewon next, and try a cool and fresh but powerful concept.

WAVES: Which is more important to you? The process or the results?
Chaeyeon: I think the process is more important, although most people would think that the results are more important. Though you aren’t able to see it now, but as long as you do your best, there will be people out there who sees your hard work someday in the future.

WAVES: Were there any moments these days where you feel blissful?
Chaeyeon: Like this schedule here with 12 members, it makes me happy when the 12 of us gather.

WAVES: Anything that sparks your interest these days?
Chaeyeon: Self-development. I want to see how much of my capabilities I could seek out, and I'm also curious as to where my capabilities are limited.

WAVES: What colour would you use to describe your feelings at this moment?
Chaeyeon: Grey, it feels very atmospheric.

WAVES: If you were given a day off, what would you do?
Chaeyeon: I’ll recharge myself with enough sleep and eat clams with my family.

WAVES: What new challenges would you like to try later?
Chaeyeon: I want to gain various experiences. I want to challenge the things that I have never tried.

WAVES: Do you have any new image that you want to show to fans?
Chaeyeon: When I'm doing my job, I want to show a more stable and secure side of me.

WAVES: What kind of image do you possess in IZ*ONE?
Chaeyeon: Attentive and and fond of taking care of others.

WAVES: Something you’d like to tell to your members?
Chaeyeon: It would be great if we could continue staying lively and bright, take care and understand each other, and remain synergistic just as we are now.

WAVES: What would you like to say to Chinese fans the most?
Chaeyeon: I hope to meet you all at various events. We'll present a different side of us, then.
